Job Description

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for the strategy and execution of all site-related procurement activities. This position will oversee duties related to the procurement of packaging, and various services for a production facility.

The Procurement Executive will be part of the Commercial team and collaborate with other departments to ensure cost initiatives are implemented efficiently. Additionally, they will coordinate with in-market colleagues to ensure new items are commercialized effectively through the supply chain. They will support strategic group initiatives in conjunction with Corporate Procurement Category Teams.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Manage the strategic and tactical purchasing responsibilities for the site to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the procurement function.
  • Act as an escalation point for internal business stakeholders regarding supplier relationship concerns.
  • Collaborate with corporate procurement on the development of site strategic category plans and support group strategic procurement initiatives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive purchasing system and support tactical purchasing requirements
  • Drive innovation through the sourcing of new materials and oversee trial implementation.
  • Support and align with the strategic initiatives led by the Head of Packaging.
  • Review contracts and guide necessary amendments.
  • Support the commercialization of new projects in the markets (new packaging items or ingredients).
  • Ensure new suppliers meet all necessary regulatory and audit requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in management, business, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in procurement or a similar role.
  • Broad knowledge of purchasing and inventory control methods, principles, and practices.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in vendor management and data analysis.
  • Strong customer service, vendor relations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated proficiency in Excel (ability to work with pivot tables, use lookup formulas, etc.).
  • ERP system experience.
