IT Security Engineer
- Management of firewalls, web proxies and load balancers.
- Very good understanding of security Architecture.
- Manage incident / change request queue and security mailbox.
- Expert knowledge of Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls and F5 LTM/GTM.
- Maintain and upgrade all IT Security hardware and software supporting IT and OT firewalls on prem and in the cloud.
- Manage issues encountered by the business.
- Manage and review IPS.
- Maintain security documentation.
- Engage in security incident response and manage SIEM tickets.
- Performing hardware implementation, configuration, setup and administration of IT security equipment acrossI sites and Data Centres.
- Function within a highly skilled Infrastructure and Service team.
- Provide technical advice and share recommendations within the IT Infrastructure area that may impact the achievement of business unit objectives.
- The ability to schedule work based on the resources available, priorities of the business and the timescale of the project.
- Liaising with management of external resource/service providers.
- Keeping up to date on IT networking and firewalling issues and developments.
- This position will require some attendance outside of normal working hours and weekend work.
- This position may require participation in an On-Call Rota.
Minimum Requirements
- Expert knowledge of managing and supporting Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewall and F5 LTM/GTM. To include upgrading and administration.
- Experience of working in a support team
- 7 years working in IT
- 3 years working in IT Security engineering role
- Exposure to Azure and other cloud services.
- Excellent TCP/IP / Network traffic knowledge.
- Display Relevant IT / Security certification
