Long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in; capital projects, automation and project management within a GMP environment.
This position will form part of the Cork based CAPEX Project Team and oversee a variety of Automation Projects onsite.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage automation projects, including planning, scoping, scheduling, cost management, resource allocation, and progress reporting.
- Portfolio Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive view of the Automation Projects Portfolio, prioritizing projects based on site needs and resource availability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope and requirements, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
- Governance Reporting: Prepare and present project status updates, progress, and challenges at site Stakeholder Governance meetings.
- Cross-Functional Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal departments and external vendors, to achieve project objectives.
- Project Scheduling & Cost Control: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
- Annual Budget Support: Contribute to the preparation of annual site Capital Budgets.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage projects in accordance with PMO lifecycle processes, including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, qualification, and closeout.
- Change Management: Oversee site change management activities and ensure all project changes are captured, documented, and assessed.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and service providers to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project execution efficiency.
- Validation Execution: Lead and manage validation activities for automation projects to meet compliance requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safety standards during project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline.
- 8-10 years (minimum) of project management experience within a pharmaceutical or biopharma environment.
- Expertise in the project management process, including programming, scope development, design, implementation, and project closeout.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and projects in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in automation systems and processes.
- Proven experience in client-side capital projects execution roles.
- Proficiency in Client Electronic Change Management Systems and full end-to-end project lifecycle management.
- In-depth understanding of cGMP principles and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
