As a Food Safety and Quality Retail Coordinator, You'll collaborate with store teams to uphold our commitment to safe, high-quality products across all locations.The role will be a blend of operational/retail and office work, based in Dublin and is a 12 Month FTC.
Responsibilities:
- Track and monitor ongoing Retail Food Safety Audit performance across a nationwide network of stores.
- Resolve third-party audit issues and queries.
- Liaise with the audit provider on scheduling and coordination matters.
- Report performance metrics against targets to stakeholders.
- Conduct internal audits of stores twice annually.
- Perform store support visits to maintain and enhance operational food safety and uphold brand standards.
- Deliver in-store and group training sessions for colleagues on food safety and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments for new initiatives introduced in the retail environment.
- Provide head office support to stores, including: Reviewing local suppliers, Updating documentation, Conducting training sessions, Evaluating trends and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Food Safety and Quality team on key strategic projects.
- Execute local product recalls when necessary.
- Respond to customer requests for product and operational compliance information.
- Represent the Food Safety and Quality Department on cross-functional teams, influencing decisions on FS&Q matters.
Requirements:
- Degree or higher qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Food Technical role.
- Proven track record in managing food safety and compliance in a retail or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of food functionality and practical understanding of food microbiology.
- Working knowledge of HACCP planning and its application.
- Train the Trainer qualification with experience in training operational colleagues.
- Own transport and a full, clean driver's licence.
- Auditing experience in a food manufacturing or retail context is desirable.
- Experience in designing and delivering training modules desirable
