This role, located in West Dublin will be part of a dynamic and multi product (and category) site where they will support across Food Safety and Quality. This individual will ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout production, storage, and transportation processes, including supplier and warehouse operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Food Safety Management Systems: Implement and manage Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) per legislative and prescribed standards (e.g., FSSC 22000).
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with regulatory authorities (HSE, FSAI) to ensure legal compliance, and manage audits and inspections (regulatory, 3rd party, and customer).
- Supplier & Product Management: Oversee supplier approval protocols and define/maintain finished product quality standards.
- Team Alignment: Ensure management alignment with food safety and quality objectives.
- Audits: Conduct FSMS compliance audits, resolve issues with the team, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Training & Development: Advise on food safety training needs and review materials to ensure compliance with standards.
- Issue Resolution: Address FSQ operational issues, consumer complaints, and customer requests efficiently.
- Hygiene & Pest Control: Manage site hygiene and pest control programs.
- Performance Reporting: Report on FSQ performance against established targets.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the FSQ Team.
Project Work
- Drive FSQ initiatives and improvements within the business.
- Represent the FSQ Department across the organisation to promote a strong food safety culture.
Education, Skills & Experience
- A qualification in Science/Food Science (essential).
- Proven technical quality experience.
- Expertise in HACCP and FSMS, with a solid understanding of GFSI standards (e.g., BRC, FSSC 22000).
- Strong people management skills.
- Flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A full driver's license and access to a car.
