The European Development Centre has grown significantly in recent years and is an integral part of our broader site in Ireland. Our site comprises Engineering, Digital Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR and the Data Centre sites and Operations.

We are looking for a Program Manager to manage the creation and submission of research and development documentation for the site to Irish Revenue for both in-year and multi-year grants.
Overview of key responsibilities:
- Act as the single point of contact for the site liaising with engineering teams, Finance and external stakeholders including the company accountancy firm.
- Ensure timely submission of R&D tax credit information to the company accountancy firm for the EDC site.
- Work with the EDC team leads and Finance to identify new computer science opportunities in the areas of basic research, applied research or experimental development.
- Lead process improvements on how we collect and distribute the tax credit information.
- Liaise with the company accountants to become a Knowledge Expert in the Research and Development Tax Credit process for Ireland Part 29-02-03 - Research & Development (R&D) Corporation Tax Credit (revenue.ie)
- Program manage multi-year Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) grants for the site defining and executing the Implementation Roadmap. Some of these responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all team members are adequately informed of the purpose of the grant, the grant structure, documentation, and drawdown requirements.
- Establishing a clear and robust structure is crucial for project management. It delineates the hierarchy and communication channels, ensuring that everyone knows their roles and the reporting structure. This would include communication plans between the team leaders, leadership team, and the Industrial Development Authority (IDA). It should also include recruitment planning (in partnership with recruitment partners/HR) and reporting, financial tracking, and drawdown forecasts.
- Proper allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and tools, will ensure that the project has everything it needs to proceed smoothly, including technology integrations. This step is essential for avoiding bottlenecks and unnecessary delays.
- Setting realistic timelines will help in tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and synchronising with R&D Tax Credits.
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
- Strong project management skills, e.g., take a brief, own and manage the project end to end, through design to the end deliverable and preferably running a Project Management Office (PMO).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Business Relationship Management: the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a broad set of stakeholders.
- Results orientated
Preferred:
- Conflict resolution: the ability to manage conflict, disharmony, and strife among people and situations, while recognizing and addressing sensitivities.
- Strong written/oral communication skills
- Ability to drive process optimization and improvement
- Strong end to end thinking with process orientation
- Good analytical and organisation skills
- Experience in R&D tax credit work in Ireland- good to have
