One of the leading federal government departments is seeking a motivated and experienced Property Projects Manager to help drive their national property and accommodation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include project management of building construction, fit-out alterations, and relocations, ensuring the smooth delivery of capital works projects,
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver a range of property services, including capital works projects.
- Prepare comprehensive project briefs for internal clients, architects, and service consultants.
- Develop, implement, and manage project risk and incident registers. Design and execute detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide regular project progress reports, financial updates, and prepare board papers, briefing notes, and other correspondence.
- Collaborate with external property professionals, consultants, and government agencies to facilitate informed business decisions.
- Prepare tender documentation, manage the tendering process, and obtain necessary approvals in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement rules.
- Handle section administration tasks including invoicing, facilities management, and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes, and standards.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in project and contract management within the Commonwealth environment. You should possess a sound understanding of Commonwealth legislation, procurement policies, and industry standards related to property management. Strong communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills are essential, as is the ability to support and collaborate with other members of the Property team.
- A degree or extensive senior-level experience in Property/Facilities Management or Project Management.
- Previous federal government experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of commonwealth legislation and procurmeent policies, required.
