Technical BSA (Business Systems Analyst) needed to automate data processes and integrate cloud platforms for a global outdoor performance apparel technology team.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee automation programs, focusing on data transformation and integration with GCP and Azure platforms.
- Manage technology and software development projects adhering to DevOps principles.
- Ensure continuous delivery and automated deployment through various software management tools.
- Create and manage interfaces between systems, providing automated solutions.
- Collect and transform data from business applications for use in local Data Lake (GCP) and Azure Datalake.
- Lead technical efforts for ongoing automation and application enhancements.
- Analyze automation functionalities and propose improvements based on user requirements.
- Consult with software development vendors and internal users to enhance operations and performance.
- Identify root causes of application errors and escalate serious issues for timely resolution.
- Maintain records of configuration changes and schedule updates.
- Document processes and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Provide front-end support to business users and cross-departmental colleagues.
- Create and update training manuals for business users as needed.
Required skills
- Proficiency in RPA tools (Automation Anywhere experience is advantageous).
- Expertise in Powershell scripting.
- Experience with workflow management systems like Windows task scheduler.
- Skilled in data cleansing and transformation (ETL).
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing automation solutions, programming, and leading projects.
- Experience (4+ years) eliciting technical needs from users and putting them together in a specs doc.
- Demonstrated ability in vendor negotiations and communication with business users.
- Japanese language proficiency (fluent or native) for communication with local vendors and users.
- English language proficiency (intermediate or above) for communication with tech teams and international teams.

Preferred skills
- Experience in retail industry.
- Experience with BI programming languages such as Python.
- Background in supporting ECOM sites, POS, and CRM-related omni-channel platforms.
- Familiarity with data integration to data lake platforms like GCP and Azure.
- Track record in leading application system development and operational support.
- General knowledge of business applications and databases (Microsoft SQL Server/SQL/DDL, etc.).
- Experience with Docker, Power BI, Power Automate, Minio, Dag, Pointainer, Proxmox, VMWare, etc.
