Data scientist position to build machine learning fraud detection models for high-volume financial technology platform in Tokyo.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time fraud detection systems with high scalability.
- Develop advanced machine learning models to identify fraudulent behaviors.
- Analyze complex data patterns and generate comprehensive fraud activity reports.
- Create proactive fraud prevention strategies with minimal false positives.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, and product development teams.
- Integrate security insights into product design and development processes.
- Develop innovative monitoring and alerting mechanisms for suspicious transactions.
- Assess and continuously improve existing fraud detection technologies.
- Document methodological approaches for team knowledge sharing.
- Follow current trends related to emerging fraud detection and data science technologies.
- Provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in data science programming (Python, R, SQL).
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS services.
