Join professional team of Data Scientists to work out the best algorithms for aggregating data insights
Roles/Responsibilities
- Understand the model algorithms, select an appropriate model for each application, and implement measures such as parameter tuning to improve model performance.
- Tackle complex analytical challenges by developing and implementing cutting-edge algorithms and models in diverse fields such as causal inference, natural language processing, computer vision, and time series analysis.
- Push the limits of existing methods by investigating and developing new mathematical models and technologies.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses from initial requirements gathering through data processing, and lead insightful presentations to key stakeholders.
- Spearhead data science projects and mentor team members, including conducting code reviews, leading workshops, and representing the team at international conferences.
Required skills
- Master's degree in a quantitative field, such econometrics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or mathematics.
- At least five years of practical expertise in two or more of the following fields: statistics, computer vision, natural language processing, causal inference, data mining, optimization, or reinforcement learning.
- Competent in Python and has a great deal of expertise with databases and cloud technologies to manage big datasets.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor a group of five or more people.
- Knowledgeable about collaborative software development techniques, testing, quality assurance, and version control, among other programming approaches.
- Strong ability to explain intricate technical ideas to stakeholders and management.
- Proficient in both business-level English and Japanese.

Preferred skills
- 5 years of practical experience specifically in natural language processing.
- Hands-on experience in developing solutions with large language models.
- Previous experience in a consulting environment with direct client engagement.
- Expertise in rapidly ingesting, transforming, and visualizing data to create quick prototypes.
