Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide cross-functional legal advice on commercial contracts and compliance.
- Draft and negotiate software services, procurement, and strategic alliance agreements.
- Act as a key legal partner for sales, procurement, operations, and HR teams.
- Manage special projects, including improving contract management processes.
- Oversee external counsel and work with internal subject matter experts.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and group legal guidelines.
- Develop and maintain legal policies, templates, and dispute resolution processes.
Required skills
- Minimum of 13 years' experience in law, preferably in a global IT or software services company.
- Expertise in commercial contract negotiation and intellectual property matters.
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred skills
- Experience managing outside counsel and cross-border legal matters.
- Familiarity with Asian business culture and ethics, with international exposure.
