Morgan McKinley Executive Search were retained to undertake an Executive Search process to appoint a Chief Information Officer. This was a newly created role within DCC’s Healthcare division. DCC Healthcare has an excellent track record of growth and has ambitious plans to continue to develop. With expanding operations in multiple geographies, technology is a critical enabler to the best-in-class business processes essential to continued growth and development. To support this ambition, an outstanding CIO was required to step into this newly created role. Reporting to the Group's Chief Information Officer, the CIO has responsibility for strategy, execution, governance, and leadership, and a strong C Suite leader with experience in developing and implementing IT strategies in a complex, acquisitive organisation was required.
The Morgan McKinley Executive Search consultants have a strong knowledge of the relevant talent market and an understanding of how the organisation functions, which were instrumental factors in developing an executive search strategy. This search was led by a Partner and our Executive Search research team. We mapped and sourced candidates, targeting executives who had experience of implementing IT strategies in multi-company, multi-country organisations across different industry sectors. All potential candidates were interviewed to identify their key competencies and ascertain how their professional background could apply to the requirements of the position, their potential fit to the DCC plc corporate culture and their motivations for a new challenge and for the position itself.
Understanding DCC's organisation, culture and requirements, allowed us to find a proven leader with the appropriate skillset to work with the Group Chief Information Officer, ensuring a strategic framework is appropriately aligned from a Group perspective.
