Our client is seeking an Advanced Management Accountant to join a management reporting team on a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant with a financial services background to step into a pivotal role, focusing on internal performance reporting, variance analysis, and financial control processes across our product and business teams. You will work closely with the Manager of Financial Reporting and collaborate with both local and offshore teams to deliver accurate financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and control.
- Provide performance reporting from multiple lenses covering actuals, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis by working closely with the forecasting team to explain movements and discrepancies.
- Respond to ad-hoc queries from internal stakeholders including product, business teams, and financial control.
- Support the project costing and employee expenses tracking, ensuring data integrity and reporting consistency.
- Partner with offshore teams to prepare reports and commentaries, and work closely with the forecasting team.
About You:
- Experience in management accounting or performance reporting
- Strong technical accounting skills and Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and non-finance teams.
- Progress towards CPA or CA is highly desirable.
