A leading FinTech company is on the lookout for a Robo-Advisory Portfolio Manager to join their team in Toronto. As Portfolio Manager you will oversee and optimize investment portfolios using data-driven strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining client portfolios, leveraging algorithmic tools, financial modeling, and market research to drive investment decisions. You will play a key role in developing and refining systematic investment strategies while ensuring portfolios remain aligned with client objectives, risk tolerance, and evolving market conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the construction, maintenance, and optimization of client portfolios, ensuring they align with investment goals and risk tolerances. Adjust allocations as needed to maximize performance.
- Investment Strategy: Develop and implement systematic investment strategies using financial models, historical data, and quantitative methods to drive portfolio decisions.
- Risk Management: Monitor portfolio risk in real-time, making necessary adjustments to mitigate exposure, particularly during periods of market volatility.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research on market trends, economic conditions, and investment opportunities. Utilize AI-driven tools and data science methodologies to enhance portfolio performance.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all portfolio activities comply with regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Prepare and present performance reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with client success teams to address portfolio-related inquiries and provide transparent insights into portfolio performance, market trends, and strategy updates.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with engineering and data science teams to refine portfolio construction processes and enhance automation capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA or MBA preferred.
- Must be registered as a Portfolio Manager.
- Prior registration as an AAR (Associate Advising Representative) or AR (Advising Representative) will be advantageous.
- 5+ years of experience in portfolio management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, asset allocation, and investment strategies.
- Proficiency in investment research, financial modeling, and portfolio management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment concepts for clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
