We are looking for a Data Architect to design, build, and manage our company's data infrastructure. You will lead projects that ensure data is well-organized, secure, and flows efficiently to support business decisions.
Lead Data Projects: Manage projects focused on data governance, data sharing, and improving how data moves through the company.
Design Data Systems: Build and improve the company's data infrastructure and frameworks, setting standards for the team to follow.
Collaborate with Teams: Work with business users to understand their needs and improve data tools and reports. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders.
Ensure Data Quality & Compliance: Conduct quality checks and manage data flows to ensure they are efficient and meet company and regulatory standards.
Manage Project Lifecycle: Plan projects, manage resources, track progress, and support testing (SIT/UAT) and documentation.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues, escalating them when necessary.
Travel: Occasionally travel as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, including 2 years as a Data Architect.
Strong skills in Cloud Data Platforms (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric).
Strong skills in Database Management (e.g., MS SQL, Oracle).
Proficiency in SQL and Python (minimum 5+ years with each).
Experience with data warehousing, governance, and security.
Ability to align technical data plans with long-term business goals.
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of big data, streaming data, machine learning, or AI projects.
Experience with hybrid data systems (mixing cloud and on-premise data sources).
Understanding of process engineering concepts.
A self-motivated and independent worker who can also collaborate effectively in a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work well under pressure.
