Senior Treasury Manager
Morgan McKinley is supporting a leading Financial Services business based in Cardiff, to recruit a Senior Treasury Manager.
The Role
This is a pivotal role for my client with a broad remit, and the primary focus of the role will be on managing all Treasury Front Office activity, including hedging and investment strategies.
The role will have a dealing mandate and you will be responsible for a Front Office function that buys and sells, with responsibilities including the following:
- Leading and developing a small and experienced team.
- Advise on timing and manage the execution of external funding and capital requirements
- Oversee the execution of derivative deals and investment decisions.
- Embed projects that are currently taking place and improve strategies and focus on qualitative analysis.
- Management of external stakeholder relationships including with banks and ratings agencies.
- Contribute to the development of strategies that add value and protect earnings.
- Lead the design of planning and stress test scenarios
- Manage cashflow
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes to ensure regulatory compliance.
The Person
The successful candidate will possess a relevant Finance or Treasury qualification, and experience of money, capital funding and derivative markets.
You will also possess previous leadership experience, and good knowledge of ALM techniques and practices and capital and liquidity raising.
Previous experience in strategic, senior treasury roles is essential, and you will also have a solid understanding of market risk and hedging instruments, including interest rate swaps and option products.
