Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join their team on a daily rate contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, creating user stories, and facilitating communication between business stakeholders and project teams. The Business Analyst will play a key role in ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and support the successful delivery of both strategic and Business-as-Usual (BAU) projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.
- Process Analysis & Improvement: Understand existing processes, workflows, and systems, identifying areas for optimization.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between business users and project teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- User Story Creation: Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to support development teams.
- Collaboration with Project Teams: Work alongside Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Developers to ensure successful implementation of requirements.
- Workshop Facilitation: Lead workshops and discussions with project teams and stakeholders from various business areas.
- Jira & Confluence Management: Utilize Jira and Confluence to create and manage user stories, document requirements, and track progress.
- Project Delivery: Support the execution of both strategic initiatives and BAU projects, adapting to agile and traditional project management methodologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, working within both strategic and BAU project environments.
- Strong proficiency in requirement documentation and user story management.
- Experience working with agile and traditional project management methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate with developers and business SMEs to define system updates and enhancements.
- Strong workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and extract key requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for process improvement and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of workflow automation and business process modeling tools. (preffered)
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA certification. (preffered)
