Long term contract opportunity for a Fire Safety Officer in the Cork/Kerry region, focusing on engineering-led fire safety compliance and risk management across facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct of buildings, escape routes, fire systems, and equipment for compliance, maintenance, and optimal functionality.
- Develop and review fire engineering plans, evacuation schemes, and technical fire orders, integrating building regulations and standards.
- Lead fire drills, assess hydrants/water systems for firefighting capacity, and provide engineering reports on infrastructural risks to management.
- Investigate fire incidents, recommend standardized fire safety equipment, and contribute to emergency planning and risk assessments.
Requirements:
- HETAC Level 7 (or equivalent) in engineering, fire engineering, building services, or related technical field.
- 3+ years in a fire safety or engineering role; proficient in Microsoft Office and fire prevention standards.
- Strong engineering expertise in risk assessment, building regulations interpretation, compliance monitoring, and technical reporting
