This contract position, part of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, is responsible for overseeing engineering projects from scoping to start-up operations. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards. It involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project documentation, and providing regular progress updates.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with safety and quality goals.
- Define and scope new projects, securing the necessary capital approvals.
- Lead and participate in commissioning and qualification activities for both current and future projects.
- Provide regular updates to management and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers, and third-party service providers.
- Manage and maintain project documentation to ensure proper record-keeping.
- Estimate project costs, track expenses, update budgets, and forecast financial needs.
- Create and maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage risks.
- Conduct studies on constructability, maintainability, and operability.
- Manage project resources and assess system conditions (structural, electrical, safety).
- Organise project meetings and provide relevant training where needed.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory standards (cGMP, EHS).
- Review project performance upon completion, identifying lessons learned for future improvements.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
- Third level qualification in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Science.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental best practices.
- Ability to perform both routine and non-routine tasks while ensuring compliance with procedures and standards.
- Experience in adhering to corporate and regulatory guidelines (cGMP/EHS).
- Familiarity with documentation practices, including GDP and site-specific procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet business needs.
- Proven leadership in managing project activities, including external site visits and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead by example, maintaining high standards across all project-related tasks.
