A new exciting opportunity has just landed on our desk with a Cork based client. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects for this client. This role involves overseeing all phases of the Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and business partners. This is a permanent opportunity with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver IT projects to agreed scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee all project phases, including planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and transition to support.
- Maintain transparency on project status, risks, and issues, ensuring proactive communication with stakeholders.
- Plan and allocate work to project teams while monitoring progress and execution.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to recommend solutions that minimize risk and align with business goals.
- Implement risk management controls and drive resolution of project issues.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, PMO methodologies, and change management processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal teams for solution delivery.
- Support system transitions and retirements related to new implementations.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: PMP, PRINCE2, APM, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
- Experience: 5+ years in IT project management, with full lifecycle project delivery experience.
- Strong understanding of software development and large-scale system implementations.
- Proven track record of managing IT projects across various domains (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain).
