About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Test Engineer to join a dynamic Solution Delivery team based in Cork. This is a key role in ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality software and systems across the organisation. You'll be driving automation initiatives, working on both new and existing functionality, and collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and end users.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of the testing lifecycle including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases across web, desktop, and API environments.
- Ensure existing functionality remains intact while implementing new features.
- Lead testing efforts across functional, performance, and security domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system defects.
- Drive improvements in test automation processes and frameworks.
- Support and mentor junior team members.
- Provide post-implementation support and UAT coordination.
Required Skills
- 6+ years' experience in test automation with tools like Cypress, Jest, Selenium, Playwright, or Silk4J.
- Coding skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python is a big plus.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Allure, Xray).
- Solid knowledge of functional, API, security, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL (Oracle a plus).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bonus: exposure to accessibility tools (Lighthouse) and security testing tools.
