Job Purpose
To oversee stock control and inventory management, ensuring the accurate recording, storage, and distribution of materials while minimizing losses and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering when necessary.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
- Implement and follow stock rotation principles (FIFO/LIFO).
Receiving & Dispatching
- Ensure all incoming stock is checked, verified, and recorded correctly.
- Oversee the proper storage and labeling of items in the warehouse.
- Prepare stock for dispatch, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
Inventory Control
- Identify and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Minimize stock losses due to damage, theft, or obsolescence.
- Maintain proper documentation of stock movement and transactions.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Provide reports on stock status, shortages, and excess inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company stock policies and procedures.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (if applicable).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and stock management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse management and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
