Morgan McKinley is delighted to support a global company who are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant for a 12-month contract within their European Head Office in Cork.
You will play a key role in ensuring tax compliance and supporting both the Tax and General Ledger Accounting teams.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, collate, and submit various tax returns (Corporation Tax, WHT, VAT, statistical returns) for European entities.
- Prepare and review monthly tax provisions and reports for financial and statutory reporting.
- Assist with tax queries, reviews, and audits, liaising with external service providers and tax authorities.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Reconcile tax accounts in the balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
- Prepare transfer pricing reports and review TP policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
- Manage the compliance calendar.
- Assist with training and task review.
- Support the General Ledger Accounting team with month-end, quarter-end, and statutory reporting.

You Have:
- An Accounting qualification.
- A Tax qualification or a strong interest in tax accounting and compliance (Corporation Tax and Transfer Pricing).
- Hands-on experience with tax accounting and compliance, particularly Corporation Tax.
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
- Experience with GL Accounting activities (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, group reporting).
- Superb attention to detail and a willingness to take responsibility.
- A strong desire to learn new systems and technologies.
