Our client, a leading national company, is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team for a 6-month temporary contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for staff and pensioners
- Manage employee expense claims through the company's expense management system
- Issue accurate and timely payslips
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax and payroll regulations
- Prepare and submit necessary reconciliations and returns
- Manage payroll queries from various stakeholders
- Generate reports for financial forecasting and analysis
- Support system upgrades and user training
- Identify and implement process improvements
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience processing Irish Payroll
- Strong knowledge of payroll / revenue and social welfare legislation and best practices
- Proficiency in payroll software Core desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and adjust to new work structures, processes, and requirements as necessary
