We have a truly exciting opportunity for a strong Senior Legal Assistant Accountant. The opportunity is with a prestigious multinational Legal Firm continuing to grow their operations here in Ireland.
This is a new position, we are seeking someone with strong knowledge across Cashiering and Banking. You will work closely with the senior finance team and partners taking ownership of cash allocations & receipting, cashflow forecasting and bank account management. Establishing and streamlining new & existing processes whilst working within the law society's guidelines.

Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 DOE

We are looking for a passionate individual, self-starter and as a true Cashier, someone who is good with numbers and hold strong communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Daily allocations of all IRL office cash receipts - bank accounts adherence at all times to SARs and company policies
- Daily bank reconciliations for all IRL accounts; reconciliation and posting of all Official fees
- Compilation of Month end Bank reconciliation summaries for Office & Client Account
- Cancellation of out of date Client & Office Account cheques and follow up procedure
- Partner drawings and distributions postings - including bank file uploads
- Maintenance of a cash flow forecast balance for various bank accounts
- Ad hoc postings such as bank charges and direct debits
- Review of daily credit alert for credit disbursements
- Daily allocations of all IRL client monies
- Process client account transactions including Manual deposit interest
- Reconciliation of trust accounts
- Reconciliation of firm suspense account
- Processing client to office transfers in accordance with SAR and firm policies
- Assisting fee earners and internal stakeholders with queries
- Liaising with the firms banking platform where necessary
- Support finance leadership team in annual File review and SRA audit and law society
- Maintain compliance with Client residual balances project
Person Specification & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-8 years relevant accounts experience within the Legal Sector
- Accounting Technician or relevant qualification advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of SARs and law society regulations
- strong Excel skills and other ERP systems
- Good inter-personal and communication skills
- Able to deal with tight deadlines ; has excellent organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail, is accurate and consistent
- Must be forward thinking and able to use initiative
