This varied role involves completing tasks within the finance function, including producing reports, business partnering, managing stakeholder relationships, reviewing monthly trial balances and reconciliations, and serving as a key point of contact during audits. It offers a great opportunity for a finance professional to support service delivery across diverse and evolving businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and related reports
- Prepare intercompany recharges and regulatory reports
- Prepare annual and interim financial statements (FRS102, IFRS)
- Handle ad-hoc reporting, provide financial support to business area management teams (activity analysis, financial/budget performance, ad-hoc reports)
- Liaise with management for month-end, budget, and forecast processes
- Assist with finance system implementations, upgrades, and documentation of procedures
- Support and guide trainee accountants
- Contribute to workflow/process improvements and operational efficiencies within the financial reporting team
Qualifications/ skills:
- Fully qualified accounting professional with previous experience in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
- Experience in financial services or in the banking sector is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to form good working relationships/good interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to the role and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- A self-starter willing to take the initiative to get results.
- Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
