A leading provider of integrated facilities management services, are looking to add a GL Accountant to their expanding team. This role supports the General Ledger function by ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilites:
* Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and provision
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
* Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statements
* Prepare financial reports and analyses, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
* Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies
* Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals, post depreciation, and perform reconciliations
* Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations
* Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS
* Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform variance analysis
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
* Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organisational abilities
