Our client, one of Ireland's leading energy providers is looking for a Group and Statutory Financial Accountant to join them initially on a 4-6 month contract, with view for perm.
You will support monthly and statutory financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial close for our clients consolidated results, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
This role involves monthly close management, consolidation, variance analysis, and intercompany reconciliations, along with compliance with IFRS requirements.
With offices in Dublin City Centre, they are operating with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly accounts close process, preparing consolidation reports for submission
- Prepare journals, financial schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis on income statement and balance sheet items, addressing queries from Group.
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations and resolve consolidation discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting, aligning with best practices.
- Collaborate with external and internal auditors and participate in projects to improve financial reporting processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 2-4 years PQE or 5+ years relevant experience.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with SAP and Microsoft Power Suite advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively under strict deadlines.
