We are seeking a Product Safety Analyst to join a specialised unit responsible for market surveillance, product compliance, and enforcement activities related to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Equipment (RE) regulations.
About the Role
This position involves investigating product compliance cases, conducting market surveillance, and ensuring regulatory compliance through collaboration with economic operators, state authorities, and international stakeholders. The role also includes managing enforcement activities and contributing to the development of risk-based compliance processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and investigating compliance cases and taking enforcement actions where necessary.
- Conducting market surveillance on eCommerce platforms and products sold or imported into the State.
- Engaging with state authorities (e.g customs) to control product entry.
- Performing product evaluations and risk assessments.
- Developing productive relationships with stakeholders and contributing to EU-wide market surveillance campaigns.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Essential
- A third-level qualification in technology, engineering, physics, economics, legal, policy or relevant.
- A proven track record of managing projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience engaging external advisors and delivering cost-effective, timely projects.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to master complex briefs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A full valid driving license.
Desirable
- Knowledge of telecommunications, radiocommunication systems, and radio frequency propagation.
- Familiarity with EU regulations and the regulatory environment.
- Experience in risk management and compliance.
- Project management qualifications or experience.
- Proficiency in drafting and publishing documents.
