As a Project Planner/Scheduler within our Project Management Office (PMO), you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our projects. You will collaborate with project managers and teams to develop, maintain, and optimise project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource utilisation.
Key Responsibilities

Project Planning:
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS) and task lists.
- Create detailed project schedules using industry-standard project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Identify critical path activities and dependencies to optimise project timelines.
- Assess resource requirements and allocate personnel, equipment, and materials effectively.

Project Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain accurate project schedules, considering constraints, dependencies, and resource availability.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays.
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
- Generate regular progress reports, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and potential issues.
- Communicate project status updates to project managers, team members, and stakeholders.

Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project timelines and deliverables.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Assess the impact of changes on project schedules and communicate adjustments to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in a PMO environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant degree or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is preferred.
