Morgan McKinley are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join a leading retail company in Dublin on a 6-month contract.
As a Supply Planner you will play a critical role in managing the supply chain process from demand forecasting to order fulfillment, ensuring product availability and optimal inventory levels across our retail locations. You will work closely with the Supply Chain, Procurement, and Merchandising teams to streamline processes, manage vendor relationships, and maintain efficient stock levels.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the demand planning team to assess sales forecasts and historical data.
- Adjust inventory plans based on demand fluctuations, seasonal trends, and promotions.
- Develop weekly and monthly supply plans to ensure sufficient stock levels across locations.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Analyze stock turnover and identify areas for improvement in inventory management.
- Implement best practices for inventory control and assist with inventory audits as required.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Negotiate order quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules in alignment with supply plans.
- Track KPIs related to supply chain efficiency, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on stock levels, lead times, and forecast accuracy.
Key Requirements
- 3 years in a supply planning, demand planning, or inventory management role within the retail or consumer goods sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain software (e.g., Relex, JDA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve complex supply chain problems.
