A Dublin-based company is looking for an experienced Utilities Engineer to join their Critical Utilities team. This role will focus on supporting all site Critical Utility systems, including boilers, compressors, chillers, water systems, life safety systems, and Waste Water Treatment Plants. The engineer will work closely with the team to optimise utility operations and assist in transitioning major capital projects to Operations ownership.
Responsibilities
- Optimise and develop operations, maintenance plans, and risk assessments for Critical Utility systems.
- Maintain high standards to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system performance, promoting Reliability Excellence.
- Review vendor documents, manage Work Orders in CMMS, and troubleshoot utility system issues.
- Oversee service delivery, working alongside internal stakeholders and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including EPA licences, cGMP, and EHS standards.
- Provide technical input during project development, ensuring smooth transitions to Operations.
- Participate in regulatory and corporate audits.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Science with at least 6 years of experience in a technical role.
- Experience in operating and maintaining utility systems in a biopharmaceutical setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of utility system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Process Design, GMP, and industry regulations in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex issues simply.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and committed to safety standards.
