We are looking to speak with an experienced Automation Engineer to join a Medical Device client of ours. This is a 12 month contract.
Role Overview:
Join our innovative, cross-functional team dedicated to creating automated equipment solutions, from initial concept right through to full implementation. This role offers a unique chance to expand your skills in designing, developing, and commissioning cutting-edge machine control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate sophisticated control software for automated machinery, covering PLCs, robotics, motion control, HMI, SCADA, and vision systems.
- Lead the development, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support of machine control applications.
- Design equipment that meets CE, electrical, machinery safety, and client-specific standards.
- Produce and analyze design and validation documents required in regulated sectors (e.g., URS, FDS, FAT).
- Specify essential components for control systems.
- Work collaboratively within a diverse project team across all project stages.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and HMIs, with a preference for familiarity with Allen Bradley systems.
- Solid background in automated machine design, including the creation of technical specifications and development.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed technical documentation.
- Additional expertise in robotics, motion control, machine vision, or pneumatics is a plus.
