Position Overview
Our client is a leading player in the home appliances industry, dedicated to delivering innovative and high-quality products to the customers worldwide. They are looking for a skilled Global Sourcing Specialist to join the team and support offshore vendor sourcing initiatives. The Global Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing offshore vendors to ensure the supply of top-tier home appliances. This role requires an expert in global sourcing strategies with a strong background in vendor management and product sourcing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for home & electrical appliances, focusing on cost efficiency and quality.
- Identify and evaluate offshore vendors to establish reliable and competitive supply chains.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure alignment with sourcing goals.
- Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging sourcing opportunities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential sourcing challenges.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on sourcing performance and vendor evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in global sourcing or procurement, preferably in the home appliances sector
- Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with global vendors.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in sourcing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
