About the role
As a HR Specialist, you will act as an advisory role to provide HR service to support the management and development of people. You will be responsible for employee relations, lateral recruitment, onboarding & offboarding and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for designated roles
- Create and manage job advertisements on external platforms, from tracking applications to maintaining accurate records of placements and candidates in the system
- Generate monthly reports related to recruitment activities
- Handle various employee relations matters, including performance management, staff leaves arrangement, disciplinary actions, conflicts, probation evaluations, counselling, absence management, and welfare etc.
- Support the annual performance and compensation review processes, along with organizational changes, including redundancies and other terminations
- Handle overall onboarding and offboarding process and duties
- Stay informed on compensation and benefits trends to maintain competitive recruitment and retention strategies for high-caliber talent
- Keep updated on changes in employment legislation and current HR best practices
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience in a HR generalist role, particularly in recruitment within the legal, professional services, banking and finance sectors
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders; exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to foster confidence, trust, and respect among partners and staff
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary employment law and its application in the workplace
- Excellent command in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Exceptional organizational abilities and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
