Job Description: Sales Manager
The Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing sales operations to achieve targeted revenue while controlling overhead costs. This role involves generating new contracts through self-sourced leads and encompasses all aspects of the sales process, including consultations, business case development, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation. The ideal candidate can handle complex sales independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Prospect and self-generate leads across multiple industries and target markets.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Conduct research and administration to maintain an active and relevant sales pipeline.
- Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify new sales and business opportunities.
- Marketing Execution: Implement marketing and sales plans, tracking effectiveness and reporting results.
- Sales Closure: Manage and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales closures.
- Product Expansion: Engage in upselling and cross-selling to expand the product footprint.
- Senior Management Interaction: Communicate effectively with senior management (Chiefs, VPs, Directors).
- Client Resolution: Handle client escalations to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
- Internal Collaboration: Build relationships with colleagues across all regions of the organization.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and products to provide insights to clients.
- Communication Standards: Ensure all external communications and marketing materials align with company standards.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate financial, legal, and commercial aspects of contracts to achieve closure.
- Networking: Attend industry trade shows and networking events.
- Independent Sales Management: Complete complex sales with minimal supervision.

Required Education, Competencies, and Characteristics
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in B2B consultative sales (not transactional).
- Industry Focus: Experience selling risk management and/or HR-related services with a robust network of decision-makers in human resources and corporate compliance.
- Client Experience: Experience with multinational clients is desirable.
- RFP Management: Proven experience in managing client RFPs and closing complex deals with lengthy sales cycles.
- Market Expansion: Track record of introducing existing services or propositions to new markets.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools and business analytics for managing leads and pipelines.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of company products and services.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent B2B negotiation capabilities.
- Presentation Skills: Strong presentation and analytical skills.
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication abilities in Cantonese and English.
- IT Competence: Proficient in IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Work Eligibility: Candidates must reside in Hong Kong and be legally allowed to work.
