This role requires someone who can make insights to help make both immediate and long-term business decisions. The role of Finance Managers in Business Partnering is key to understanding and explaining different shareholder perspectives and value-drivers, as well as external regulatory and political stakeholder groups.
Job description:
- Providing cross-functional business analysis & insight at Executive Committee level through historical trend analysis with a focus on sustainability metrics and Net Zero targets.
- Developing the financial business case for increasing capacity.
- Identifying and optimising opportunities by understanding key metrics and lead indicators that drive performance and business growth.
- Consolidating the outperformance delivery initiatives and monitoring their progress.
- Understanding the drivers of costs and revenues to optimise product margins.
- Working with the business to develop long term strategic cross-functional business cases.
Essential skills:
- Fully Qualified Accountant, or Part Qualified with extensive QBE experience.
- Ability to conduct historical trend analysis, variance analysis and identify material shifts in performance.
- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting key metrics and lead indicators to identify opportunities and monitor progress.
- Experience with data integration tools and platforms like Power BI and Fusion Analytics to consolidate information from different systems.
- Expertise in forecasting and scenario planning, particularly in evaluating risks and devising mitigation strategies.
- Competence in evaluating business scenarios and understanding their implications on the organisation's risk profile.
- Good understanding of balance sheets and capital productivity indexes (PI).
