We are seeking a proactive and skilled Forklift Operator to join a busy team. The role involves operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse enviornment. The successful candidate will have a strong forklift experience and have current valid forklift licence.
Hours for this role are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday, hourly rate is €17.50
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely, maneuvering them efficiently in a warehouse or storage facility while adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or other vehicles, ensuring goods are secured to prevent damage during transit or storage.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas or production lines, stacking and organizing products or materials as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or needed repairs to the maintenance team.
- Record the movement of goods in and out of storage areas and assist in conducting regular inventory counts and updates.
- Follow company policies regarding warehouse operations and forklift use, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with supervisors about any operational issues or delays.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as packing, sorting, or labeling, when needed, while maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
Key Requirements:
- Valid reach and counter balance experience
- Valid current Forklift Licence
- Proven experience operating forklifts, particularly counterbalance models, and familiarity with warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for safe forklift operation, along with the ability to organize and manage stock effectively. Good communication skills to work within a team and report issues.
- Proof of eligibility to work in Ireland, such as a valid work visa, residency, or EU citizenship.
