Morgan McKinley are partnering with a Non-Bank Lender that are seeking an experienced and passionate Finance Manager to become an integral part of their finance team annd drive the finance strategy forward. You will report into the knowledgable Finance Director and will ensure that financial controls are maintained, goals are achieved and providing insights and reports on key metrics.
You will manage 2 direct reports, including the Financial Accountant that we are also currently hiring for (due to an internal promotion) by providing guidance, support and training. You will also be responsible for an offshore finance team covering AR/AP, Payroll and Credit Control.

Responsibilities:
- Be an encouraging leader by managing the finance team, ensuring team culture and collaboration is upheld, deadlines are met and processes are efficient.
- Have a seat at the executive meetings by delivering comprehensive analyses and thorough reports to stakeholders, including debt providers and equity investors.
- Work closely with key stakeholders internally to provide valuable information and participate in the annual budgeting process, the long-term strategic planning as well as re-alignment of goals.
- Prepare statutory audited financial statements, tax returns, FBT, BAS, and R&D claims.
- Provide oversight of the monthly management reporting cycle, which includes month-end reconciliations, financial consolidation, variance analysis, and the creation of board reports.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with relevant degree with proven past experience in a similiar role within the Lending space (ideally) or Financial Services.
- Prior experience managing a team onshore.
- Experience with ERPs, including Technology One, Adaptive Insights, Calumo, and Tableau.
- Exceptional attention to detail with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to present to key stakeholders both internally and externally.
