An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing and high-performing team in the financial services sector. Reporting to senior leadership, this role offers broad exposure to statutory and management reporting, financial planning, and strategic input in a collaborative environment.
This position is ideal for a driven, proactive professional nearing the completion of their CA/CPA qualification who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly financial processes, including group, statutory, and regulatory reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, regulatory returns, and taxation reports (e.g., GST, Stamp Duty).
- Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX and best practices.
- Assist with audits, both internal and external, as well as ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of finance policies and process improvements.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with US GAAP, APRA reporting, or AASB 17 concepts is a plus but not mandatory.
- 3-5 years of financial accounting experience
- Near completion of CA or CPA qualification.
- Clear and effective communication skills for engaging with a range of stakeholders.
