Legal Counsel - Asset Management Firm

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support in relation to the asset management business, including the establishment, structuring
  and re-structuring, due diligence and management of different types of funds
• Review and advise on investment-related transaction documents and fund documents, proactively advise on legal and regulatory issues
• Contract documentation review, advice and preparation for internal stakeholders
• Draft and/or review wide range of commercial agreements for the Group
• Support new business initiatives and products by advising relevant legal and regulatory issues; assist in structuring considerations and draft/review legal documentations
• Work closely with the Compliance team to provide timely advice to internal parties as well as effective execution of corporate governance policies
• Work closely with the Company Secretary to provide support/advice on entity incorporation/board-related matters
• Manage external lawyers for effective use of resources

Requirements

• Degree holder in law or related discipline
• Qualified lawyer with 2+years of post qualification experience
• Experience and knowledge of private funds and M&A transactions, understanding of listing rules and/or prior in-house legal experience in financial institutions
• Strong interpersonal skills and work ethics with the ability to work independently, proactively under pressure, and possessing good commercial sense
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent in Mandarin is
