Frontend & Mobile Engineer Tokyo - UI for Fintech Apps

A leading fintech company is seeking a Frontend and Mobile Engineer to help deliver modern, intuitive user interfaces for complex financial products. In this role, you will develop and refine features across internal platforms and a growing consumer-facing application. This position is open to candidates based in Japan with a valid work visa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and simplify features to enhance user experience across platforms
• Build high-quality, scalable tools for both internal and external stakeholders
• Create responsive interfaces for consumer- and merchant-facing services
• Ensure performance, reliability, and UI consistency across devices
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to continuously improve the platform

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• 3+ years in frontend and/or mobile application development
• Prior experience in fintech or financial services is preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in React Native and React.js
• Familiarity with ES6, Redux, Webpack, and mobile dev tools (XCode, Gradle)
• Experience building apps for iOS and Android, including native API integration

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and teamwork in cross-functional environments
• Detail-oriented with a focus on performance and usability

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Conversational
• English: Fluent

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end mobile app development and UI testing
• Exposure to design systems or UI/UX collaboration tools
