In this role, you will advise on governance, compliance, and cross-border operations while helping to drive innovation through the use of AI and automation tools in legal processes. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, terms of use, and transaction structures for group products and services.
- Advise on compliance with consumer protection, data privacy, payment services, and IT-related laws and regulations.
- Provide legal support for board meetings and shareholder matters.
- Support cross-border transactions and overseas operations.
- Enhance legal workflows by implementing generative AI, LLMs, and automation tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in Japan with 5+ years of corporate legal experience.
- Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Experience supporting complex business operations in dynamic industries.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance speed, legal precision, and sound judgment.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native-level proficiency.
- English: Business-level proficiency.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in IT, e-commerce, or platform businesses.
- Background in M&A, investments, or new business launches.
- Additional legal qualifications in other jurisdictions (US, UK, etc.).
