WaterWipes was born out of the company Irish Breeze Ltd., which was established in 1993 and has become a world leader in skincare and baby care.
Headquartered in Ireland, the company has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years, and now employs 300+ people, selling to over 60 countries worldwide, is listed as a Deloitte ‘Best Managed Company’ for the second year running and has achieved global ‘Great Place to Work’ accreditation. To date, the business has established offices and developed employee bases in Ireland, the USA, Singapore, China, Germany, Dubai, Canada, and The Netherlands.
WaterWipes asked Morgan McKinley to conduct an executive search in the USA Market to identify a market leading Regional VP for their North America business. This was an exceptional time to join WaterWipes, particularly in this pivotal growth leadership role and in this key market for the business. The Regional VP – North America sits on the senior leadership team and reports into the Chief Demand Officer (CDO). The successful candidate would have overall responsibility for the rapid growth of WaterWipes’ revenue and brand awareness in North America through developing areas such as sales leadership, distribution channel management and strategic pricing / revenue management.
As the pace of the growth of the organization escalated, North America had rapidly become WaterWipes’ largest market. To fill the Regional VP, North America role we wanted someone with outstanding commercial credentials from a blue chip FMCG background. At the same time, they needed to have the flexibility and tenacity to exel in a high growth, scale up environment. Key to their success would be the ability to move from the strategic to the tactical in lightening speed. We were looking for an optimal blend of sales, category, and marketing background. We reached out to our network in the American FMCG market to shortlist a strong panel of commercial leadership talent. Again, the key for success was to identify the right cultural fit that could bring their learnings from a scaled and mature business to a high performing scale-up environment. We secured an outstanding commercial leader from one of the world’s largest CPG companies.
