As a Senior Strategy Analyst, you will be a core member of the strategy team, directly contributing to the development and execution of their 3-5 year strategic vision, annual operating plan, and investor communications. You will work closely with senior leadership, including the Board, MD & CEO, and Executive Management team, providing critical insights and analysis to drive sustainable growth. This position demands a structured, analytical thinker with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to influence key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Strategy Manager to develop and refine the 3-5 year strategic plan, translating high-level objectives into actionable initiatives. Facilitate the development of the annual operating plan (AOP), ensuring alignment with Board and executive-defined financial and growth targets. Monitor and report on performance against the AOP and balanced scorecard, including key metrics.
- Contribute to the annual report preparation process and develop compelling investor presentations, working in close partnership with Finance and other relevant stakeholders. Craft clear and concise narratives that articulate our strategic vision and value proposition to the investment community.
- Conduct rigorous strategic reviews of business units and market opportunities, providing data-driven recommendations to inform strategic decision-making. Lead research and analysis for commercial due diligence on potential acquisitions, ensuring a robust and objective assessment of target companies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities across key sectors. Develop deep, bespoke industry insights based on primary and secondary research, leveraging our network to provide a differentiated perspective. These insights will inform CEO communications and content marketing initiatives.
- Leverage consumer data, competitor analysis, and industry knowledge to develop a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and channel dynamics. Design and implement methodologies to track consumer sentiment, community feedback, and the effectiveness of our market proposition.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven Track Record: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a strategy role within a top-tier or second-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or internal corporate strategy team.
- Analytical Prowess: Exceptional primary and secondary research skills, coupled with strong financial modelling and analysis capabilities, including statistical analysis and discounted cash flow valuation.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise, and impactful narratives. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply a structured, top-down approach to complex business challenges.
