Business Overview:
Seek an experienced and strategic Head of Manufacturing to lead manufacturing operations across four factories in China. This leadership role is crucial in driving operational efficiencies and ensuring manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's goals to enhance productivity and efficiency across all factories.
- Operational Excellence: Drive initiatives to achieve operational efficiencies through lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track manufacturing performance and ensure targets are met.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to foster collaboration and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous learning.
- Budget Oversight: Manage factory budgets and resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing operations adhere to safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe working environment.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Managing Director on manufacturing performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field;
- Proven experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role, managing multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing excellence principles, including Lean, Six Sigma, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive performance improvements.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally in the consumer goods or automotive sectors.
