Accountant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified finance professional to join a dynamic Financial Operations team within a leading organisation in Cork. This role focuses on delivering high-quality project reporting and financial control while working closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic business goals.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate project accounting, reporting, and month-end processes, while contributing to continuous improvements across financial systems and services.
Qualified Accountants from either practaice and/or industry are welcome to apply for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project-related month-end close activities, including reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies
- Deliver accurate financial reporting on project spend, capital costs, and performance insights for stakeholders
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and compliance with internal policies and standards
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve project accounting and system interface issues
- Monitor budget controls and ensure financial data integrity across systems
- Support external audit requirements by preparing timely and accurate financial documentation
Skills & Experience Required:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in finance role within practice or industry.
- Strong Excel skills desirable
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively
