Design Engineer - Technician

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join a well established team for an initial 12 month contract - (hourly rate). This role will play a key role contributing to innovative projects in the Medical Device industry. The ideal candidate will be a creative and detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a fast-paced ever changing environment and enjoys solving complex design challenges.

Required:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a design role.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and plan work.

The Role:

• Work with manufacturing and production to establish design requirements.
• Developing tool design that will support robust and efficient repair processes.
• Complete detailed designs using CAD software.
• Develop part and fixture 3D models
• Develop and maintain documentation related to all creations.
• Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and prototyping.
• Provide technical support throughout the design lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Ensure all designs meet quality, cost, and performance requirements.
