This role plays a key part in ensuring the site's adherence to environmental regulations and maintaining a culture of compliance and sustainability. The successful candidate will manage critical environmental compliance programs, liaise with regulatory bodies, and contribute to the effective functioning of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation, including IED license terms and greenhouse gas permits where applicable.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, including the EPA, to address compliance requirements and updates.

Environmental Reporting:
- Compile and submit mandatory environmental reports, such as the Annual Environmental Report (AER) and Environmental Performance Reporting (EPR), to the appropriate authorities.

Environmental Management System:
- Maintain and continually improve the site's Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Program Management:
- Oversee the site's F-Gas register and fugitive emissions program.
- Manage groundwater monitoring and related reporting activities.

Stakeholder Communication:
- Coordinate communication with regulators and corporate EHS teams as required.
- Ensure relevant regulatory requirements are communicated to key site functions, including Production and Engineering.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Support other site compliance initiatives, such as DGSA compliance and controlled substance management.
- Ensure adherence to REACH regulations (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) for the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals.
Qualifications and Experience:

Education:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
- 2-5 years' experience in an environmental compliance role within a regulated industry, such as API manufacturing, chemical production, or environmental consulting.
