About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Financial Controller to join their leading Cork-based company undergoing an ERP implementation. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will play a critical role in driving financial success.
Responsibilities
- Financial Systems and Controls: Evaluate and implement effective systems and controls.
- Team Leadership: Foster a high-performance culture and deliver results within the finance function.
- Business Planning: Contribute to strategic planning and monitor performance through ongoing reporting and analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate, employment, and regulatory legislation.
- Resource Management: Provide the team with necessary tools, applications, infrastructure, and support.
- Financial Planning: Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Capital Projects: Manage capital expenditure projects, including approval, monitoring, and control.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, FCCA, or CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years of senior finance experience (senior accounting or Financial Controller level)
- Oracle implementation experience (advantageous).
- Strong skills in contracting, negotiating, and change management
- Expertise in capital, inventory, and cash control, systems and process development, and forecasting.
- Experience with multinational financial obligations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
